The port of Alsóörs is not just another development on the shores of Lake Balaton, but the perfect combination of modern technology and aesthetic solutions. Elektro-Kamleithner Ltd. proudly participated in the project, where we contributed to the premium quality and functionality of the location with our lighting system. During the project, we installed and programmed state-of-the-art phase control dimmers and Berker B.IQ controllers to provide guests with unique, comfortable and energy efficient solutions.
Our lighting solutions: phase-shift dimmers
Theben DM 4 T KNX dimmers we supply and install represent the cutting edge of lighting innovation. These devices allow precise and flexible control of the brightness of the lights, an essential requirement in modern buildings. Phase control technology is all about manipulating the waveform of the electrical current to reduce the power delivered to the lamps. This not only achieves the desired luminous intensity, but also ensures energy-efficient operation.
Another advantage of Theben dimmers is that they can control up to four different lighting circuits. This has allowed us to design the lighting for the different zones of the Alsóörs harbour in a uniform and easy-to-use way. Precise settings ensure that the brightness of each area is tailored to the function and mood of the area, whether it's romantic mood lighting in the evening or full brightness.
Style and functionality: Berker B.IQ controllers
For the lighting system control in this project, we chose Berker B.IQ push-button controls, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also extremely user-friendly. The white glass coverless thermostatless models we installed came in an eight push-button design. These elegant and minimalist controls allow you to control lights and lighting zones individually or in groups.
LED indicators on the B.IQ controls allow users to easily see and adjust lighting settings. This simplicity and functionality fits in perfectly with the modern interior design concept of the Ypsilon Yacht Club, while contributing to the comfort of guests.
Elektro-Kamleithner's role in the project
The lighting system of the Ypsilon Yacht Club was implemented with the expertise of Elektro-Kamleithner Ltd. We supplied and programmed the phase control dimmers and Berker B.IQ controllers and ensured the smooth operation of the KNX-based integrated system. One B.IQ controller per level controls the lights in the three-storey facility, allowing us to create a consistent and high-quality lighting experience in all corners of the hospitality area.
Project challenges and solutions
Instead of the originally planned DALI control, we used modern phase-switching dimmers, which gave us more flexibility in controlling the lighting. The advantage of the KNX-based system is that the lighting can be fully integrated with other building automation solutions, thus ensuring the possibility of future expansion. Precise planning and programming allowed all light sources to operate optimally, while energy efficiency was not compromised.
The importance of the port of Unterörs
The Ypsilon Yacht Club is not just a marina, it is the new tourist centre of Lake Balaton, combining modern infrastructure with high technology. The restaurant, which was opened under the direction of star chef Károly Gerendai, offers a unique gastronomic experience, while the marina's architectural design focuses on the comfort and visual experience of guests. Lighting solutions installed by Elektro-Kamleithner are an integral part of this premium experience.
