The survey shows that interest in smart homes has soared, with almost half of respondents saying that interest has doubled in the last five years. This increase in interest reflects the rapid technological development of the industry and highlights the growing recognition of the benefits of smart home solutions.

Lighting is the most popular of the smart home applications, closely followed by temperature control, blinds and home energy management, underlining the importance of energy efficiency, comfort and security in living spaces.

The survey confirms that KNX has retained its place among the communication protocols among the respondents, both in terms of awareness and practical application. Integrators and installers continue to favour KNX, which shows the industry's commitment to standardised and interoperable solutions.
