People detection in office public spaces

Last week we participated in the III Naughtone Roadshow organised by Europa Design. The event was framed by the WELL Office Certification. WELL aims to provide people in the office with a standard that supports healthy and efficient working. Intelligent buildings can also be of great help in this, by analysing data from a wide variety of sensors and sensors.


In his presentation, Zoltán Balogh presented a human-sensing example that helps to optimise the utilisation of an office meeting room, but also shows, beyond the economics, which corner is the most or least used in a given room. Moreover, additional data - such as light, noise, or even air quality values - can even answer the question: why?
