Less is more and the new Berker R.8 follows this line with its excellent design. Whether it's a flat screen TV, tablet or smart phone, the trend is moving towards a flat design. So it is with switches and sockets. With a frame height of just 3 mm, the Berker R.8 is one of the thinnest fittings on the market. The new 3 mm glass frame is only available from Berker. In addition to glass, other high-quality materials such as aluminium and stainless steel are also available. It elegantly blends into the interior.

Berker R.8 is the perfect family harmony
The new switching programme R.8 follows the line of R.3. More precisely, it is flatter, the height of the frame has been changed from 7 mm to 3 mm, which almost blends into the wall plane. The shape celebrates the power of contrast: circular interiors in a continuous sharp frame (corner width: 0.5 mm). Both ranges can be perfectly combined: R.8 for corridors and living rooms, R.3 for less frequented rooms. The main thing is to stay in the family!

The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies have informed us that the Berker R.8 has been awarded the 2018 GOOD DESIGN Award.
The Hager Group's new product family "Berker R.8" has been awarded the German Design Award 2019 Gold in the category "Building and Elements" for outstanding product design.
Statement from the jury:
"The new Berker R.8 switches are perfectly proportioned, with precise geometrical shapes, high quality surfaces and an extremely flat design. The elements are precisely interconnected so that the fit of the elements is barely visible.
A feature that underlines the high quality appearance of the product: the use of real materials such as glass, aluminium and stainless steel creates an authentic feel. Even the sound of the switch is a sign of high quality. The exceptionally beautiful switch family reiterates the classic design concept in a surprisingly new way and blends harmoniously into a variety of architectural environments. "
